A year at our school
EngageVR
Students at Wakefield participate in EngageVR every Wednesday. Those chosen for the program consistently find it enjoyable and rewarding.
EngageVR is a group-based initiative designed to enhance social communication, executive functioning, language and literacy skills, as well as physical activity.
The activities encourage social interaction, self-regulation, teamwork, active listening, and the skills of giving and receiving feedback. Physical exercises focus on improving flexibility, strength, balance, and overall fitness.

ANZAC Day
Each year the staff and students remembered the sacrifices made by the ANZAC soldiers by participating in our annual school ANZAC Day service.
We were fortunate enough to have some very special guests as part of our service. Thank you to Mr B Noble - President of Toronto RSL-Sub Branch and members of The Australian Armed Forces Re-enactment Heritage Unit who who re-enacted the drills and traditions of the venerated Lee-Enfield .303 rifle used by British Empire and Commonwealth soldiers from 1895 to 1957 and shared many interesting stories with us.
Friday Raffles
Each week students earn raffle tickets from staff when they have been noticed achieving the PBL focus for the week. Every Friday a raffle is drawn with the winner given 5 PBIS points to purchase an item from the school's PBIS reward program
